Kitchen Helper:Wage commensurate with experience starting at 15.50/hr. wage increases are based upon evaluations. Duties include but are not limited to: heat and cook simple foods, wash dishes, clean kitchen, prep foods and take out garbage. Will be taught in the use of deep fryer, oven and other equipment to prepare fast food items.
Completion of secondary school is recommended but not necessary. Successful applicants will receive on the job training. Minimum 1 year experience, must be able to read and write English. Maintenance Supervisor: (1position)Begins immediately.
The successful candidate’s role will encompass both a “hands on” approach and a supervisory component. This is a fulltime seasonal position, spanning approximately 7.5 months annually. Line Cooks/Buffet Cooks: (5 positions)Food & Beverage
The Line Cook will prepare food to Chef’s exact specifications and set up stations for menu. They will assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef with their daily tasks. Knows and complies with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, policies and procedures. Room Attendant: (5 positions)Motel
The Crossing Motel Room Attendant will have 6 months experience in a similar position. The successful candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, work quickly and efficiently to complete all assigned rooms by check-in with few, if any, deficiencies. Cafe Cashier: (5 positions)Food & Beverage
The Cafe Cashier is an integral part of our 22 member Food and Beverage team. The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, accurately handle a cash float, have POS experience, deliver food orders, bus tables and be a dependable and supportive team member. There is shift work involved and at times split shifts. You will also be crosstrained in other F & B areas when necessary. No previous experience necessary but is preferred. General Maintenance Labourer: (5 positions)Maintanence
The General Maintenance Laborer will possess a varied skill set, competent in the electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical areas for our 65 room motel, 45 room staff accommodation, kitchen, bar, restaurant and general store. Night Custodian: (5 positions)Food & Beverage
The Crossing Night Custodian will have a minimum of 6 months experience in a similar position. This position requires the successful candidate to work from 2300 hours to 0700 hours, six days a week. Integrity, trustworthiness, diligence, self-motivation and a strong work ethic are the desired qualities that will ensure your success in this post. In addition, possessing a keen eye for detail and efficient/accurate task completion is key. This job requires a moderately physically fit individual with average strength and stamina. Duties include kneeling, stretching, bending, lifting, twisting and carrying up to 30 lbs at times. Sous Chef: (5 positions)Food & Beverage
The Sous Chef will work alongside Head Chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including training, mentoring and overseeing other kitchen staff. Aids in the preparation and supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards. Leads Kitchen Team in chef's absence. Night Watchman: (5 positions)Administration
The Night Watchman maintains a safe and secure environment for guests and staff by patrolling and monitoring the property's premises and associate’s staff accommodation between the hours of 11PM and 7AM. Other duties include, but are not limited to, checking in late arrivals, selling gas and ensuring any disturbances are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
